Make sure you have the best car servicing Uxbridge has to offer10 before the weather turns nasty: winter is coming, after all.
You will have heard about the number of strong storms that have hit the USA in recent months, with Hurricane Irma and Harvey battering a number of states over there last month.
This week the UK and Ireland had to deal with Hurricane Ophelia which brought with it significant destruction across south west Ireland, including two deaths. If you were lucky enough to escape it you probably saw the red sky and sun it brought with it, as well as all the dust that is currently on your car!
Now, the UK is facing Storm Brian which could see wind gusts of up to 70mph across certain parts of the country this weekend. Ireland is again set to bear the brunt of this storm, just days after it waved goodbye to Ophelia.
Coastal areas could face the most dangerous conditions according to Dan Suri, chief forecaster at the Met Office: “Gusts exceeding 50mph are expected widely within the warning area, with gusts of around 70mph along exposed coastal areas. These are expected to coincide with high tides, leading to locally dangerous conditions in coastal parts.”
Dangerous driving conditions in those areas mean drivers should keep off the road unless absolutely necessary. The ‘weather bomb’ causing this storm is so called as it can occur quite quickly, so make sure you check the weather forecast before you go out this weekend.
